Gibbs Named to Rawlings Gold Glove Team

BATON ROUGE -- LSU catcher Micah Gibbs has been named to the 2009 Rawlings NCAA Division I Gold Glove Team. Rawlings, in conjunction with the American Baseball Coaches Association, annually honors college baseball's top defensive players.

Swimmers, Women's Team Earn Academic Honors

BATON ROUGE -- Former LSU swimmers Julius Gloeckner and Katherine Noland and current swimmer Jane Trepp were named 2009 Individual Scholar All-Americans by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, while the women's team earned Team Scholar All-America honors for the second consecutive semester, the organization announced Wednesday.
